![]() The kick and snare from that track are still two of the best sounding ones I've ever heard and because the track starts with the drums people just into sampling realized they could get a good loop/sample off the track :) There have been many older songs where the recording engineer used invention.IIRC the sax solo from SuperTramp's,"Breakfast in America" was recorded in a toilet.If it wasn't that one it was one of their hits :DĪlso probably the most sampled drum sound in the world when samplers first occured and I can still hear on many records of today as it's been incorporated in many smaple packs is from Led Zep 4,"When the Levee Breaks" and the engineer put John Bonham on the landing outside the room and the studio where they had setup the recording gear in a Small Mansion because he realised the acoustics would be superb for the drums on that track and it was recorded with only one stereo mic. plus try slight trak shifts on trak clones. experiment with this idea plus a reverb plug in. ive forgotten which, but some old gold hit Send a feed to a mic'd speaker in a echo/reverby space.
